Try to ask a specific question.
The more specific the question you ask the cards the more detailed and specific the answer will be.
-
Try not to ask yes/no questions.
The cards can tell what direction things are heading in and what looks like a promising avenue, and they will hint at what you will decide based upon what they see in your future. But seeing what you'll likely do does not negate the aspect of free will that can change your path. Ultimately, cards and readers can show you underlying truths, can see where you'll be most comfortable, but can't say "take the job" or decide for you.

Try not to ask medical or health questions.
As a result or our litigious times our readers avoid anything that can be misconstrued as medical advice. For example, if you're trying to conceive and you ask us when you will get pregnant, deliver, or about the sex or health of your baby, we will tell you all we see in the cards about fertile times, new beginnings, the entrance or important people in your life, times you will struggle, etc. but you must interpret the information yourself.
-
Try not to ask the same question several times.
We value you as a customer and appreciate your business greatly. However, the cards are an oracle, and oracles have (for lack of a better word) rules. They will answer a query but they will get (again, for lack of a better word) insulted and may even stop responding if asked to perform the same reading for the same client again and again. In other words, if you don't like the answer, please don't ask again. Let things play out, barring that, if you want more information on the same topic, please try to put a creative spin on the question, making it somehow unique or changed from your last query, that method is usually satisfactory.
-
Try not to ask for readings for others.
While it is tempting to ask about the fates of others, readings are conducted for the questioner only. Information about other people is inferred using the information the cards offer you and it is usually sufficient. If someone is out to mislead or mistreat you the cards will see it. However, it is unethical to divulge the fortunes of unknowing or unwilling participants. (Public figures excepted because they impact the futures of many). So please ask about yourself, in a way that will bring the intentions of others to light.

The cards will not easily yield mundane specifics.
The cards will tell you a new lover is on the horizon and that you should accept invitations to social events during certain period of months, weeks, phases, etc. They will tell you as much as they can about the person you will meet and how you should conduct yourself if possible. But readers can't tell you exactly where or how you will meet, or exactly what this person will look like. You'll need a visionary psychic for that.

Try not to use the word EVER as part of your question.
If you ask "Will I ever be happy" or "Will I ever fall in love" the answer will be yes at some point if only for a moment. Even if this type of reading answers your question it will likely be general and will do little to assist you with your current struggles, the reasons you are consulting the Tarot in the first place. Instead, try to ask the Tarot more present minded questions "How can I find happiness in the near future?" "How can I attract a loving relationship", "Are there any changes coming to me in love or career". "What should I be doing differently?" etc. With that, the answers will be plentiful.
